Charger has nothing to do with it, the cable got fucked when you dropped it plugged in. Replace the cable and everything will be fine. Try to get a thicker one.

I got a charger that only works if it's pressed into my phone. That's right, in order for me to charge the phone I need to clamp it down onto a desk, clamp down the connector, push them into each other and secure the clamps. Is that an iphone you ask?
